Housing Program

The Arc’s Housing Program provides housing services to adults with developmental disabilities and a variety of related disabilities, medical needs and special challenges. The Arc owns and manages 82 community group homes throughout all three counties within Delaware in which approximately 322 individuals live safely and comfortably.

We partner with the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, Division of Developmental Disabilities Services to provide affordable housing opportunities at fair market rental rates. The Arc provides this specialized, affordable housing to (DDDS) licensed and contracted Provider organizations that provide the day to day services and direct supports to the individuals living in each home.

Property Maintenance and Emergency Services

In order to best promote community inclusion, The Arc ensures that our homes are among the most attractive and well maintained homes in every neighborhood where our homes are located. We provide property maintenance and many specialized housing features to accommodate the accessibility and other unique needs of the individuals living in these Arc owned homes. The Arc ensures that living conditions meet the changing needs of all residents.

The Arc provides 24/7/365 emergency services for a variety of critical maintenance issues in our homes which occur with regularity. These services are provided directly by our team of five highly experienced maintenance personnel; or by a variety of carefully selected, high-quality, cost-effective vendors across the state.
