The formal induction occurred last Wednesday.

Micki has dedicated her life to the needs of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and is the living embodiment of The Arc’s mission to empower those individuals, and their families.  She is a tireless advocate whose accomplishments have earned her this and many previous awards and recognition.

Micki has built coalitions throughout the state of Delaware. She has also been recognized and active in advocacy on a national level, as demonstrated by President Obama’s appointment of Micki to the President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities in May of 2011.

Through her foundation, Homes For Life, she has built 25 community group homes and donated 21 of these beautiful homes to The Arc of Delaware.

The Arc is very lucky, and very proud, to have Micki as a Board member, partner and benefactor.
