Mid-Del Christmas Dance

Hundreds Gather for Christmas Dance and Visit from Santa

On Friday, December 12 at the Cheswold Fire Hall, more than 350 people gathered to celebrate the holiday season with a dance and a visit from Santa. The event was one of nine monthly dances hosted by The Arc of Delaware, serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Many came with bells and bows to celebrate Christmas with their friends.  D.J. Jay Pappas kept the music going, and pizza was provided through a generous donation from the Morning Star #7 Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, as well as a variety of Christmas goodies provided by parents and friends of The Arc.  Santa was on hand to listen to Christmas wishes, as well as have pictures taken with those in attendance.

Through their monthly recreational events, The Arc of Delaware’s Mid-Del Committee strives to enhance the quality of life for Delawareans with disabilities by providing opportunities for social interaction.
